The goal of the Heroes and Villains Archetype project was to select a character and develop a card set that depicts the archetype of our character. As a Clint Eastwood fan, I chose his character “The Man With No Name,” to develop my card series on. Eastwoods portrays this role through the "Dollars Trilogy'' of Spaghetti Western films. I chose this character because of his complex antihero nature that borders on being morally flexible.

 

I felt his mystique and various combative skills would also lend to interesting visuals. The most significant challenge
of this design project was depicting the character through type and image that
did not immediately reveal this is a
Clint Eastwood character, but rather describe the characters traits, persona, beliefs and other background elements.
