Overview

The Community Arts Partnerships is a youth development program, focused in the arts,  for kids and teens in Detroit. CAP's twenty year anniversary took place in the Fall of 2020. To celebrate the anniversary, a special exhibit was developed to showcase the program's history and student artwork.

The design team was composed of myself and a fellow communication designer, along with two interior designers and an instructor from each department, serving as creative leads throughout the process..

The CAP exhibit design was a very valuable experience, as our design team took part in all steps of development, from initial concepts to final design preparation. My specific role included helping develop interactive infographics and a motion design segment projected in the exhibit, telling CAP's story. I also assisted with other elements such as floor graphics, feature wall and brand guide.

The most significant take-away from this experience was the opportunity to both design and  build assets for the exhibit. This gave me a better understanding as to how 2D design translates to environments.
