Mt. Kilimanjaro — Tanzania

Classification

Mountaineering

Experience

On the morning of December 20, 2020, a trekking team I was a part of successfully summited Mt. Kilimanjaro. We departed at one in the morning to begin our final push the summit. The reason for this timing, was to reach Uhuru Peak to
see the sunrise over"the roof of Africa."

Mt. Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano in Tanzania and is both the highest mountain
in
Africa and the tallest free standing mountain in the world.
